Stabilized semi-implicit time-stepping method can efficiently simulate phase field problems involving fourth-order nonlinear diffusion, with typical examples like the Cahn-Hilliard equation and the thin film type equation. I will discuss a group of results on the energy stability for the stabilized semi-implicit time-stepping methods. Time permitting I will also mention some more recent progress.

 

报告人简历:

李栋,香港科技大学教授,在流体力学方程,色散方程的研究方面做出突出贡献,在Invent. Math, GFACPAMJEMS等等发表多篇高水平文章.
